Audit Trail
Overview
The Audit Trail is a chronological log of every significant action taken in your organization. It records who did what, to which record, and when. Use it for accountability, troubleshooting, and compliance.
Reading the Audit Log
What Gets Logged
The audit trail captures actions such as:
- Creating, editing, and deleting leads and contacts
- Importing leads to contacts
- Sending emails, WhatsApp messages, and SMS
- Role and permission changes
- Team member invitations and removals
- Questionnaire sends and completions
- Login events
Each entry shows the user, the action, the affected record, and the timestamp.
Filtering the Log
Use the search and date filters at the top of the Audit Trail page to narrow down entries. You can filter by user, action type, or date range.
Archiving Entries
Why Archive?
Archiving moves old audit entries out of the active view without permanently deleting them. This keeps the active log focused on recent activity while preserving the historical record.
How to Archive
Select entries you want to archive and click Archive. Archived entries can be restored to the active log at any time by clicking Unarchive.
Tips
- Review the audit trail any time something unexpected happens — it will tell you exactly who made the change and when.
- Archive entries older than 90 days to keep the active log manageable.
- The audit trail is read-only — entries cannot be edited or deleted, only archived.
- If a team member disputes a change, the audit trail is the source of truth.
